About The Festival

Picture yourself amidst the stirring melodies of marching bands, the resplendent display of military regalia, and the heartfelt tributes to our fallen heroes. The Clearwater Honor Fest is a day of honor, remembrance and community spirit. Hosted at Coachman Park by the Florida Veterans Coalition and the City of Clearwater. This event isn’t just a commemoration; it’s an immersive experience designed to uplift, inspire and unite.

Come out and honor the sacrifices of those men and women who laid their lives down for us and this country. The parade starts at 10AM. Followed by our Memorial service at 12PM. The FREE music festival will start after the service.

SSGT DAVID BELLAVIA
– Guest of Honor

Our guest of honor and speaker this year is Army Staff Sergeant David G. Bellavia, who was awarded the Medal of Honor in 2019. Bellavia distinguished himself by acts of gallantry and intrepidity above and beyond the call of duty on November 10, 2004, while serving as a squad leader in support of Operation Phantom Fury in Fallujah, Iraq.

The actions for which Bellavia earned a Silver Star Medal took place on his 29th birthday. As a member of Company A, Task Force 2-2, 1st Infantry Division, his platoon was assigned during Operation Phantom Fury to clear a block of twelve buildings from which insurgents were firing on American forces. The platoon began searching house-to-house.

On June 7, 2019, it was revealed that Bellavia’s Silver Star would be upgraded to the Medal of Honor. The Medal of Honor awarding ceremony took place at the White House on June 25, 2019, and was awarded to Bellavia by President Donald Trump.
